ABOUT THE CONTINGENCY PROJECT
Practical preparedness starts with a plan.
why we exist
The Contingency Project was created around a simple idea: preparedness should be practical, organized, and accessible to everyday households.
Emergency plans are often scattered between conversations, phones, documents, checklists, and information we assume we'll remember when we need it. The Contingency Project creates planning tools designed to bring that information together and help households think through important decisions before an emergency happens.
Our products focus on practical planning without unnecessary complexity, fear-based messaging, or a tactical approach that doesn't fit most households.
BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE. DESIGNED FOR EVERYDAY LIFE.
The Contingency Project was founded by a U.S. Air Force veteran with nine years of military service and a professional background in law enforcement, operations, and logistics. That experience reinforced the importance of planning ahead, identifying critical resources, and having clear contingencies when circumstances change unexpectedly.
After leaving the military, that same planning mindset became increasingly focused on something much more personal: preparing a household and family for real-world emergencies. The Contingency Project grew from the idea that families shouldn't need a military background, expensive equipment, or complicated systems to become better prepared.
The goal is simple: create practical tools that help everyday people organize important information, think through potential problems, and build emergency plans that actually make sense for their household.
